Saturday Share: Cupcake Celebration

Hello, dear friends. Happy Chinese New Year and welcome to another week of Saturday Share.

How was your week so far?

I had a hectic one. The workload of my day job seems to be forever increasing, and my New Year Resolution of a photo a day on Instagram forces motivates me to create something everyday. It does drive me crazy and on edge sometimes :-ss But crafting seems to be an important part of my life now, and I like how that pushes me to get better on other areas of my life, like time management, prioritizing and planning.

This week's layout was done under 90 minutes at 2 o'clock in the morning on a Sunday after I had my weekly badminton + supper with my girlfriends. I was actually quite tired, but I kept telling myself 'Gotta get at least one layout done so I can photograph it in the morning', and so I did. Even I am amazed with my own determination :-o

This layout came together easily because I decided to use neutral colors with pink and baby blue combo. That has shorten the time I needed on picking patterned papers and matching their colors. Then I took my scrap papers folder and picked out the papers.

The scrap papers that I chose were the perfect size for the layout. Even the triangle vellum fits in perfectly.

The title for this layout magically appeared in my mind when I took these photos out. I like the peach and aqua letter stickers mixture, just like the layout I did for Melon Bun.

I used Simple Stories Stickers for embellishing, adding some details here and there to cover up those awkward edges.

Decided to add a little something up on the corner right before I 'declare' this layout done.

Thank you for stopping by this week. If you like my paper craft creations, do follow my blog and head over to my Instagram account as well ;)

Have a lovely weekend!

Saturday Share: Like Mother Like Daughter

Happy Saturday! Welcome to another week of Saturday Share.

Today I will be sharing a layout that I created using Stuck?! Sketches February 1st Challenge. They are currently having a DT call too, so if you're interested, hop over to their blog and join in the fun. The DT call is open until February 28th.

Back to my layout. I used neutral colors for the background of the layout, and reds and blues for layering and embellishing. That makes the main cluster of my layout more lively and stands out from the background.

The photo of this layout featured my eldest sister and her daughter, and I titled it 'Like Mother Like Daughter'.

Love this letter stickers by Amy Tangerine

Beautiful

A little butterfly embellishment to cover up the edges

My favorite spot of this layout, layering of the butterfly embellishments on top of a heart-shaped doilies

The final look

I love the final look of the layout, and I am glad I have chosen this frames patterned paper as my background. I was going to use a pink or red background, but I think the effect would make the overall look of the layout not as outstanding as this combo.

How do you like my layout? Let me know in the comment.

Thank you for stopping by this week, hope to see you again on next Saturday!

Planner Nerd Wednesday: January 2015 Planner Inserts Wrap Up

Hello, dear friends! This week's Planner Nerd Wed post is just a simple wrap up of the Planner Inserts I decorated in January. Each week of my planner inserts has its own theme, and I try to come up with a theme every week, but some are just random stamping and decorating.

Week 1

Week 1 itself has a few different themes. It started with bright and happy colors on Monday and Tuesday.

Close Up

Then it's all New Year's theme during the mid week.

And a drastic turn by the end of week 1, going all dark and monstrous. :p

Week 2

A wee bit lazy on week 2, and decided to use a bunch of Wizard of Oz Stamp Stickers. I added a few quotes from the book/movie as well.

Week 3

A random washi tape + deco rush decorating inserts, with short quotes here and there. I love short quotes.

Week 4

Glittery black cat on Week 4! Kuro Nyanko glittery sticker flakes and deco tape were used for this week's decoration, with the cute mustache sticky notes.

Week 5

Last week of January 2015 (I can't believe it, where has the time gone?! :-o) Going kawaii this week, with orange hand-drawn borders :x

And that is all for today's Planner Nerd Wednesday post!
Thank you for dropping by, see you again on another PNWed~ :-h

Saturday Share: Birthday Wishes

Good morning, and happy Saturday!

On this week's Saturday Share I will be sharing a few Birthday Cards that I made using the same rubber stamp by Penny Black.

♥ this shot!

A girly style.

A simplicity style.

A neutral style.

And another neutral style.

Blank spaces were left intentionally on each card, so that I can customize each with the receiver's name on the card, like the one I did for Erica (my SIL).

Thank you for stopping by, and I hope you have a pleasant weekend.
