Saturday Share: You are Marvelous

Happy sunshine Saturday!

Today's post is a handmade card I did during my day off.

I stamped a lot of this cute little puppy images by Some Odd Girl Hispter Pet Clear Stamp set a while back when I was practicing my stamping. The foxy and kitten on this stamp set are stinkin' cute too, I can't wait to play with them on my next project.

The stamped cloud images and stripes patterned paper are leftover from my previous handmade card project, so basically the only thing 'new' on this card is the sentiment (Incredible by Ali Edwards, Technique Tuesday).

Took me some time to color the puppy, the hat and the bright red bow-tie. I decided to stamp the sentiment in blue to match the clouds above. This card was done within 15 minutes, and it is so darn cute! Now, I just need to figure out who to send the card to LOL

That is all for today, thank you for stopping by.

Saturday Share: Sending You the Warmest of Thoughts

Hello, dear friends.

A bit late on my Saturday Share this week. I had to work late everyday for the past week, and also on the weekend. My new job is getting hectic and challenging, but that's how I like it.

Back to this week's Saturday Share. I made a card using an old freebie stamp set by Adam Pescott, along with Simon Says Stamp Absolutely Delightful Clear Stamp. The puppy image is one of my favorites, and I paired it with a simple greeting.

The grey patterned paper is by Studio Calico's Story Time Collection. Some twine, a heart-shaped punch out and a heart-shaped felt sticker are all I used on this simple card.

That is all for today. Thank you for stopping by, and have a wonderful weekend.

xoxo

Saturday Share: Birthday Wishes

Good morning, and happy Saturday!

On this week's Saturday Share I will be sharing a few Birthday Cards that I made using the same rubber stamp by Penny Black.

♥ this shot!

A girly style.

A simplicity style.

A neutral style.

And another neutral style.

Blank spaces were left intentionally on each card, so that I can customize each with the receiver's name on the card, like the one I did for Erica (my SIL).

Thank you for stopping by, and I hope you have a pleasant weekend.

Saturday Share: Apples

Happy Saturday!

So, I have been thinking.. Since I will be posting regularly on Saturday to share my layouts and handmade cards, these posts will be named as Saturday Share - Card or Layout series. I know I should come up with a more creative name, but that is the only name that I can think of. >.<

This week's Saturday Share, I will be sharing a few cards I made using the Hero Arts 4 Apples Rubber Stamp set.

I bought some mini ink pads, and decided to use the 4 Apples to try out the inks. I have had this stamp set for a few years, but I don't remember using them much. This kind of stamp set is quite versatile, as you can pair it up with different sentiments for many different occasions.

This is me having fun with some rubber stamps and inks

I made 3 cards using the stamped apples images, some sentiments and washi tapes. Going back to simplicity these days.

A Thank You card

Life with You is Sweet

Thank You for Being Sweet

Saturday Share: Warmest of Thoughts

Hello, dear friends! How is 2015 treating you so far? I hope all is well and fine.

I spent the last few weeks of 2014 trying to plan ahead what I will be doing for this year. So, here goes. For the first quarter of 2015, I will be writing 4 blog posts per month, alternating between the layouts and handmade cards I made. Why is it only the first quarter, you asked? Well, I might have gone missing again like I did every year, so let's just keep it real and put down what I really could achieve right now. And there might be some posts about my planner, though I haven't really come up with any planning on blogging about my planner-addiction, yet.

So, for the first (or actually, second) post of 2015, I will start with a handmade card. Very simple, yet I find it quite beautiful, if I may say so myself *wink*

I bought this owl stamp a few years ago, where I kept convincing myself that I NEED an owl stamp (and this one is just too cute, I MUST get it). Years passed by, and I only used it once for a layout I did in 2013. So, when I decided to go back to handmade cards, this little owl popped his head out and yelled, 'Use me! Use me!' hahaha

I finished this card within half an hour, and that is quite satisfying. This is what I love about card-making, it is far less time-consuming, and even such simple design can have a beautiful outcome.

I really love this sentiment stamp by Simon Says Stamp. My handwriting can never be this neat *sigh*
